Faith Youth Group (FYG)

High school youth will gather each Sunday at 6:30 p.m..  A variety of events will be held.  Check the Ambassador in "News & Events" for more specifics as this schedule may vary from month to month.

• 1st Sunday of the month:  “Meet & Greet/Games & Eats”  Simply meeting to play with the games in the youth room – air hockey, foosball, ping-pong, Wii, visiting, snacking and closing with brief devotions.

• 2nd Sunday of the month:  “Movie Night”  We’ll warm up the popcorn popper and watch a movie on our 55” flat screen with surround sound.

• 3rd Sunday of the month:  “Road Trip”  We can do anything from bowling to skiing.

• 4th Sunday of the month:  “God Time”  We will use unique ways of studying God’s word and His will for our lives.

Mission Trip

Every summer our high school students plan a special trip. Every third year we attend the national Youth Assembly for the ELCA. In years past this has taken place in such places as New Orleans and Houston. Our next trip will take place to New Orleans in 2012.

In the other summers we travel to do mission work. We have traveled to such places as Alaska, Montana, Ontario, and the Appalachian Mountains. In the summer of 2010 we traveled to Rutland, Vermont. Our 2011 trip will be to an Indian reservation in northern Minnesota where we will work with children and help repair homes.
